Scott McTominay is set to miss Scotland's coming Nations League fixtures as he undergoes corrective surgery for a minor heart issue.

Napoli revealed on Tuesday the talismanic former Manchester United midfielder was set for a short absence due to "a mild benign arrhythmia", which is an abnormal or irregular heart rhythm deemed non-serious and posing no significant risk to overall health.
McTominay will miss his club's September fixtures, including the Champions League showdown with Arsenal next week, and will then sit out new head coach Sebastien Pocognoli's first four matches in charge of Scotland, against Slovenia (twice), Switzerland and North Macedonia.
"Following the onset of a mild benign arrhythmia, Scott McTominay will undergo corrective surgery using a cardiac arrhythmia ablation in the coming days," read a short statement from Napoli.
"He will be available again after the international break."
McTominay has started both of Napoli's Serie A matches this season but was substituted after 56 minutes of Sunday's 2-1 home defeat by Como.
