But after inspiring City's A-League Women grand final triumph over Wellington on Saturday, McNamara is first focused on helping the club secure a landmark treble of trophies in Melbourne's Asian Champions League campaign.
Golden boot winner and Matildas striker McNamara, 23, scored two goals in three minutes, including a stunning curler from outside the box, to lead City to a 3-1 win over the Phoenix that sealed a premiership-championship double.
The off-contract striker, who has become a star after coming back from three ACL tears, appears certain to attract overseas interest.
"I'm obviously off contract at City, and I've built my base here, and I've got the kind of match minutes that I wanted to, coming off an injury," McNamara said.
"So we'll see how the next few weeks go and things like that, but yeah, no decision made yet."
When pressed on whether she felt ready to head overseas if the right opportunity emerged, McNamara said: "Yeah, I think I'm ready.
"I've put in the right work, both on the field and off the field, to make myself ready and put myself in that spot, and so has City.
"City has kind of guided me through that, kind of knowing that maybe there's bigger things on the horizon.
"So I'm very lucky to be at the club that I'm at and for the help that I've gotten."
City coach Michael Matricciani is confident McNamara can play in the English Women's Super League or the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) in America.
He flagged moving to a lower-level club to ensure game time could also be a good move.
"But she can play at the highest level, that's not a doubt," he added.
"One of the biggest things is her mentality ... for someone to have three ACLs and miss so much football, to have the mentality that she has to keep working and grinding and believing in herself is a testament."
City were staying at an airport hotel on Saturday night before flying out to Suwon early on Sunday for Wednesday's WACL semi-final against Japanese club Tokyo Verdy Beleza.
Matricciani and McNamara both believed City, last year's WACL runners-up, could take the momentum from Saturday's triumph into that game.
"Obviously, at the start of the season, you set out your goals, and that was our goal, the treble," McNamara said.
"I remember the photo of the three trophies up on the wall, and that's always been our goal."
