The 43-29 win sees Seymour retain second place in the GV league competition, 10 rounds into the 18-round season.
Elle McDonald’s team started slowly but gained momentum late in the quarter, with fast transitions out of defence rewarded with strong shooting by Jessica Lallo and Ellie O’Sullivan.
Seymour further dominated in the second term, shooting 11-4 for the quarter, with its defensive pressure creating several turnovers.
But a number of defensive changes in the third term for the Lions meant Tatura took advantage, pegging back a goal to win the quarter 10-9.
Fresh legs in the midcourt in the final term, and several further positional changes, made for a tight final quarter with neither side able to capitalise on turnovers.
But it was again Ellie O’Sullivan who shot nine of the Lions’ 10 goals in the final term to wrap up the match.
●In Seymour’s earlier matches, B-grade scored a nine-goal win over Tatura, with Morgan Zotti best on court and Mariah Baumann dominating in the ring with 28 goals.
B-reserve wrapped up its match by 15 goals, with a 16-3 second quarter proving the difference.
Seymour’s Sophie Rutherford led the Under-17s to a 13-goal win over the Bulldogs and was voted best on court, while Ruby Martin controlled the attacking end with her 27 goals.
And the Under-15s made it straight sets for Seymour’s netball club, holding off Tatura by five goals.
Jordyn Beattie proved crucial with her turnovers, while Olivia Pearce, who was aptly supported by Madi Hager, provided drive and ball speed in the attacking end.
