The Seymour Telegraph recently welcomed its new full-time, Seymour-based journalist David Rak (pictured).
David joins the paper after almost three years as a journalist with Kyabram Free Press and the Riverine Herald.
Growing up in Kyabram, David started his career on the paper there, covering general news and sport before being promoted to the Riverine Herald in Echuca as a political and features writer.
After a stint travelling overseas, he has retuned to the McPherson Media Group with the Seymour Telegraph and has now completed his move to the town.
David said he was looking forward to getting to know the area and the community — and the issues that matter.
‘‘I have already met a lot of community stakeholders in my time here and I’m looking forward to meeting more,’’ he said.
‘‘I encourage everyone to come to the office in Station St for a chat or come up to me when I’m out on a job.
‘‘Or you can phone me at the office or send in an email.’’
You can hear David on Seymour FM every Tuesday night talking about what’s in the next day’s paper.
