On the second night we had a very good roll-up, with the winning team after three games being Mick Ellis, Heather Curnick and June Gibbs.
Ladies
May 17 was scrounge and May 24 is scrounge again for those interested with a 10am start. Please note, no-one is in office.
Next Wednesday, May 25 is a meeting at 10am. Decisions need to be made by our club members (and submitted to the BCGBR by June 30) in regards to what divisions are entered for the 2022-23 pennant season.
It is important members think about which form of pennant they wish to participate in, whether it be open gender or single gender.
The amount of elected divisions entered for the midweek pennant season has to be decided as well. This depends entirely on how many club members (women and men) wish to play midweek.
We also need to form a selection committee for midweek pennant. Any members willing to join this committee will be welcomed and considered.
Men
Please put your name on the lists in the foyer regarding availability for the upcoming pennant season.
We need to inform the region by June 30 so that competition can be arranged.
Wednesday, May 18 (pairs results):
We had 10 pairs on five rinks. There were two lots of two-game winners, with Leigh Milgate and Kaye Barker runners-up on eight shots and Gavin Houlihan and Graeme Chambers winning with 11 shots up.
We will run a pairs competition again on Wednesday, May 25 with a 1pm start — names to be in by noon. Pairs can be all men, women or a mixed.
Bar duty will be Monday and Friday from now on.
