The Bombers will have key playmakers Zac Keogh (knee) and Tom Holman (hamstring) back for the clash after lengthy sideline stints and Hayden Gemmill is also a chance to return.
Victorian Country Under 18 representative Charlie Barnett could also be an inclusion, free from his school football and Bendigo Pioneer commitments.
Barnett has been a part of the state team’s wins against South Australia, Allies and West Australia. He will be hopeful of winning a place in the team to contest the NAB Under 18 national championships grand final against Victoria Metro on Friday, September 23 at Ikon Park in Melbourne.
Bombers ruck goliath Jake Reeves’ season could be over after a medial ligament injury suffered in the recent Seymour clash.
Utility Cade Mueller is also expected to miss the next couple of games at least after straining a medial ligament in the Echuca game.
Kyle Mueller will also be on the sidelines, serving the second week of the suspension he incurred against Seymour, and continuing a frustrating season for the goalkicking specialist.
Seventh-placed Seymour kept its season alive and put Kyabram’s finals chances in jeopardy after upsetting second-placed Euroa in Saturday’s first half of the split round.
It has now joined Kyabram on equal premiership points with two home-and-away games remaining games after the split round is completed this weekend.
Kyabram’s last two games are against third-placed Mansfield at Mansfield and then eighth-positioned Shepparton Swans at Kyabram.
Seymour has potential percentage-boosting games in its remaining two encounters, against bottom sides Tatura and Shepparton United.
Kyabram, currently with an 8.12 percentage point buffer over Seymour, can’t lose its spot in the six if it wins all three remaining games but if it drops one — or two — of them it could end up in a percentage battle for a top-six spot.
Mooroopna, although sitting in fourth spot and a game clear of Rochester (two games clear of Kyabram and Seymour) is still not a certain finalist.
It fronts Mansfield this Saturday, at Mansfield, then Euroa (away) in the penultimate round before hosting unbeaten flag favourite Echuca in the final round.
But one win from these clashes would clinch a finals spot.
