The Bats knew the game was going to be tough against the Whorouly girls.
Whorouly took the lead in the first quarter having the bats trail up until three-quarter time.
The Whorouly girls had a strong defence, and the bats struggled to score early.
Once the bats got into a nice routine, they were able to get themselves in the game after being down seven goals at half-time.
Olivia Osborne filled in for the Bats and played exceptionally well in defence, with Ally Ellis combining well to create turnovers.
During the second half of the game, the Bats’ shooters, Ella Sheehan and Kylie Relf made the most of the turnovers and got the backs back in front.
The girls had a three-point win over Whorouly.

B-Reserve
It was a tough day at the office for B-Reserve, taking on a strong Whorouly side going down 59-17.
The defence worked hard getting turnovers outside the ring but the accuracy of the Whorouly shooters meant rebounding opportunities were few and far between.
While we managed to create a number of turnovers down the court, we were unable to convert those to the scoreboard on the bouncy Whorouly rings.
Best-on went to Alyssa Priest for her impressive reading of the play and clean intercepts in WD, playing with commitment and energy.
Second-best went to Kate Nolan, who once again showed her versatility in attack and defence and made the goalies work hard for every pass.
The third-best went to Jo Gall whose positive talk and encouragement on the court can be heard clearly, despite running all day in C.
