With only three A-grade players available for the game, it was always going to be a tough challenge for us.
But the B-grade players who stepped up and played their hearts out did not disappoint.
There were some lovely passages of play from defence to attack, which was great to see.
Many positives still to takeaway from the game.

B-grade: Finley 32 def Rumbalara 30.
A strong start from the girls saw us take a five goal lead into the first break.
We did not come out as strong in the second quarter, and let Rumba back into the game.
The rest of the game saw the lead change a few times, but every player dug deep and pushed through to the final whistle for a well-deserved two goal win.

C-grade: Finley 37 def Rumbalara 34.
The girls had a wonderful team win this week - their first for the season!
They were challenged in all positions and throughout the game, demonstrating patience and trusting their teammates.

C-reserve: Finley 44 def Rumbalara 41.
Another great win. It was hard fought and Rumbalara never gave up, which made it even more difficult.
Some training is coming into play, which was great, but there’s still lots to work on. Overall, a great game which we all worked hard to win.

Under-17s: Finley 44 def by Rumbalara 56.
It was a tough challenge for our girls, who had a great start and continued to play solid netball for the entire game.
Rumba came out strong in the fourth quarter. Their accurate shooting and passing saw them take the win.

Under-15s: Finley 26 def Rumbalara 19.
Finley fought hard right to the final whistle in a tough and physical contest, showing great composure and teamwork under pressure.
Despite some frustrating moments, the girls kept their heads high and continued to battle together.
Taylah Dixon was awarded best on court after an outstanding performance, while Marlee Simpson's leadership, composure and work rate across the court were exceptional.
Chelsea Kennedy stepped up strongly in goals, and Ellie Harris worked tirelessly in defence to create crucial turnovers throughout the game.

Under 13s: Finley 25 def Rumbalara 19.
The under-13s came out strong and hungry for the ball, really wanting the win.
The girls’ pressure over the court caused many turnovers our way, to help secure the win.
Awards: Molly Crowley and Ruby Delmenico.
Under-11s: Not scored.
Everyone played a great game.
The team worked well down the court with strong passes.
There is alot of work to do at training, but we will work on it as a collective.
