Benalla Auskick report

Future stars: The squad after another successful Auskick session.

The last Auskick before the winter holidays saw a good turn out.

The weather turned it on for our volunteers who “enjoyed” a cold drizzle while putting out the goal posts and setting up the fields.

Luckily for the kids, the rain stopped by the time they were ready and rearing to go, and the results are in it — was a goal fest.

Special mentions to Olli Synes who kicked four goals in the 5&6s, Riley Phillips five goals in the 7&8s and Joshua Bamford with a whopping seven goals in the 9&10s.

A shout out to the parents each week who support the canteen and barbecue, please step up when it’s your team’s turn to support. If you’re desperate to turn a sausage on the barbecue, use those long-forgotten math skills or put some customer service one-liners to the test then the canteen is the spot for you.

We look forward to seeing everyone on July 9, as we are having a break during the school holidays.

Kids keep practising and we’ll see you then.
