For the men’s squad, it's a return to the big stage - a fabled part of their history as one of, if not the most successful club at CBL North East level.
As for the Lady Blasters, it's the culmination of over 24 months’ rebuilding the women's program for long term success.
Saturday night’s semi-final matches saw the men face off and beat Myrtleford Saints by nine points, while the women traveled to Wallan and brushed past the Panthers by seven.
It sets up mouth-watering match-ups with competition leaders Wallan Panthers and Wodonga Wolves respectively, as both the men's and women's team head in as potential underdogs.
For the men, they haven’t been able to beat the Panthers this season, with former Seymour players Max and Leo Viitala key parts to the Panthers’ lineup.
Men's coach Craig Hockley said his team would do everything they could to come back to Seymour with another flag.
“We'll assess and work out the best match-ups for them (the Viitala brothers),” he said.
“And we'll make sure our players play as a unit defensively and offensively as well.”
Prior to the men's grand final will be the women's, with the Lady Blasters up against home side Wodonga Wolves.
But after beating the team only two weeks ago, Seymour’s confidence levels will be at an all-time high when the two teams face off again.
Women's coach Bill Pearce said he would attempt to keep the week leading up to the big game as normal as possible.
“We’ll talk about match-ups and consistently go back to what we’ve done - which is play our own game,” he said.
“We need to make sure we know how they (Wodonga) play and where they play.
“We’ll try upset them and get them out of their comfort zone.”
Both teams will go in with an injury cloud over two of their most important players, with Robbie Sartori and Dyani Ananiev currently sporting ankle injuries.
For Sartori, his tweaked ankle was a result of his team's semi-final win, while Ananiev nurses an injury out of last month's Country Cup.
Both Hockley and Pearce said it would be “wait and see” as to Sartori and Ananeiv's availability for this weekend’s grand final.
