On their home ground of Yea Recreation Reserve, the Tigers won the toss and elected to send Seymour into bat first, with Maroons’ skipper Simon Van Duinen (24) the best for his side.
After starting the first three games as an opening batsman, a move into third position saw Van Duinen produce his best score of the season so far.
And he was duly supported by teammate Hayden Gawne, who notched up a handy 19 runs for the Maroons.
But it was Yea’s Dan Evans who wreaked havoc with Seymour’s batting order, snaring 4-15 from nine overs.

It meant the Maroons went into their field innings defending 9-100, which Yea had no trouble knocking about.
And again it was Tigers all-rounder Cam Armstrong who stood up with the pine, finishing with 43 runs for the day.
Skipper Mick Steiner again had trouble putting together a significant score, out for a duck, but it was Armstrong, along with Damon Malcolm (29) who steered the innings with their partnership of 71.
The pair's efforts were enough to get the home side over the line, the Tigers reaching 101 with 16 overs remaining.
Backing up his earlier act with the bat, Van Duinen also produced his best efforts with the ball, finishing with 3-15.
SCA | Nagambie remains undefeated with thrilling win
Yea’s win sees them remain step-for-step with ladder leaders Tallarook - whose match against Broadford on Saturday was a nonstarter - with both clubs yet to lose a match.
Meanwhile Seymour continues to fight for their first win in A-grade, sitting at the bottom of the ladder alongside Eastern Hill.
This Saturday, Yea Tigers will play Eastern Hill at Kings Park Reserves in day one of a two-day match, while Seymour returns to Chittick Park to host Broadford.
