Each year, skydivers from across Victoria gather for a multi-round “jump-off” to determine the best of the best in Victoria.
Four-way formation competitor Kate Leszyk is competing for her third year with team Halcyon.
“It’s a really exciting time of year for Victorian skydivers and a great competition to be a part of,” Ms Leszyk said.
“Some teams train all-year-round to prepare for competition and others just put a last-minute scratch team together just to compete for a bit of fun.
“The whole Victorian skydiving community is quite close-knit so whatever your drive, there’s a lot of fun competitive banter between mates.”
Ten-time consecutive national gold medal winner with four-way team Rotor-Out, Craig Vaughan, has grown the size of his posse and will be competing in eight-way formation this year – a discipline he has been coaching teams in throughout the year in preparation for the Victorian Championships.
Fresh from the 2019 World Parachuting Championships, Jason Dodunski has also been training up several Wingsuiters, some of which will be competing for the medal in wingsuit performance.
The Victorian Skydiving Championships will be held at Skydive Nagambie.
