In the end it was playing coach Jason Cole and A-grade premiership player Meg Grbac who took home honours in the senior and A-grade counts respectively.
Cole beat out fellow midfielders Zac Keogh and Tom Freeman to win the senior football count, while Grbac claimed honours ahead of her defensive partner Sarah Szczykulski.
While the club’s official vote count was held late last month, Seymour's football and netball stars gathered for the club's presentation night on Saturday, October 19, with a number of players taking home awards.
Following a reserves flag, Mitch McLean backed up an impressive season with a best and fairest medal, while Dylan Cook finished ahead of teammates Huwy Jones and Tayte Lewis in the Under 18 count.
In the netball stakes, Courtney Aldous capped off a strong season, finishing ahead of teammate Morgan Zotti while Georgia Velt was judged the best of B-reserve.
In the junior ranks, Under 17 star Ruby Martin won the title, with Bridie Cantwell finishing runner-up, while Ashlyn Webster was the winner of the Under 15 medal count ahead of Jordyn Beattie.
In club awards, Paul Lewis took home the Best Clubman award, Carol Baumann was awarded the Lions Pride award, and Karen Wright was presented with the Lenny Brown Best Netball Club Person award.
Capping off the night, senior midfielder Tom Freeman won the Eamonn O’Connor Memorial Award which was presented by Eamonn’s father Mick O’Connor.
