A glorious day for target rifle shooting - sun, slight breeze, dew on the grass.
Target rifle champs: Len Hayes, Steve Falla, Phill Betts and Barry Woods started the day's events at 600 yards, three points separating high to low.
F Std champs Jason Li and Craig Weaire followed on, Craig leading by three points.
FO champs Josh Weaire, Stu Keating and Mick Tinkler followed on with Josh coming out on top with a possible 60.6.
700 yds
TR once again Len and Phil still leading the way.
FS had roles reversed and Jason up three points.
FO had Josh holding perfect for another possible 60.4
900 final range
Phill Betts with a possible 50.2 to take out the first place, only by one point, followed by Len, Barry and Steve.
FS Craig shot 59.4 to win his grade by two points, another close result.
FO Stu shot a 58.6, but too late as Josh with a 57.3 and two possibles came out trumps in his class.
Break for lunch then 800 yds began.
Long range always manages to bring out the mistakes and there were plenty of them on the day - just ask Joe who could not find the target!
Nagambie won the handicap, Chas Hayes round one, 598.39; followed by Karramomus 592.39; Katandra 583.46, Shepp/Nathalia 565.23 and ECDRA 476.32 with only four shooters.
Craig topped, off rifle F Class, with 119.8, Josh 117.7, Joe 116.11, Steve 116.8 (converted) Kevin 112.5, Murray 110.4 and Ken 106.5, a good team effort Nagambie.
Next LR shoot August 31 at Karramomus, 12.30pm start.
