Beryl looks good at 105

BERYL Fisher may be forced to stay inside because of the coronavirus pandemic, but that didn't stop her celebrating her 105th birthday on the weekend.

The activities staff and other residents at REDHS were kind enough to organise a lovely morning tea for Beryl to help celebrate.

After this, she was surprised again by a few family members who had gathered outside.

“Mum hasn't been coping well with the coronavirus and thankfully we were able to go and see her for her birthday,” Beryl's daughter Ade Foster said.

“Before going into isolation, we used to be able to see her every day.

“Now we're not able to do that and unfortunately Mum is confused by the changes.”

On a usual year, the 105-year-old would have a large gathering with her five children, 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

But for Beryl, she isn't too fussed by celebrating her age.

“It's just another birthday,” she said.
