Two people have been taken to hospital after a crash in Shepparton on Thursday, March 12.

The crash between a ute and an SUV happened about 1pm at the intersection of Benalla Rd and Florence St, outside Shepparton Marketplace.

Police said a man and a woman, who were the drivers and only occupants of the vehicles, were taken to Goulburn Valley Health by ambulance for observations.
According to an Ambulance Victoria spokesperson, they were a man in his 80s and a woman in her 30s.
Police, ambulance and the fire brigade all attended the scene.
Traffic was slowed at the intersection for about an hour while the scene was cleared. Westbound traffic on Benalla Rd was diverted through the Shepparton Marketplace car park after the crash.
