And invitations are still open for stall holders and buskers wishing to get involved.
Hosted by the Deniliquin Business Chamber, the Bazaar is part of the Big Deni Weekend, which also incorporates the Play on the Plains Festival, the Pastoral Times organised Deni’s Town Garage Sale and the Deniliquin Golf Club’s Autumn Classic.
Cressy St will be closed between Napier and Edwardes St creating a free-flowing mall, allowing you to peruse local shops and enjoy the activities on offer at your leisure.
Chamber executive officer Donna Taylor said CBD businesses are encouraged to open for the duration of the bazaar — from 9am to noon.
Other businesses and services are also invited to get in on the action, Ms Taylor said.
‘‘We will have local food vans, or you can purchase from the eateries already located in the CBD.
‘‘There will also be a display of vehicles from The Depot Deniliquin, and the Mid Murray Rural Fire Service Support Brigade will have a stall and a truck.
‘‘The Laugher Lady will be there, and weather pending we’ll also have performances from the Edward River Concert Band. Buskers will also perform, and we’ve approached South West Music to secure musicians.
‘‘Also on site will be the Navorina Nursing Home fundraising team, selling tickets for their car raffle.
‘‘And there will be some market stalls to complement the Naponda Farmer’s Market which will be taking place in its usual spot in Cressy St, just at the end of the block.’’
And that’s not all.
Ms Taylor said a range of other entertainment will also be provided in the CBD on the day.
‘‘The Bazaar is just a great way to spend time together as a family, and we’ll have face painting and a jumping castle for the young ones.
‘‘At 11am we’ll have Dachshund Dash, which by all accounts was very popular last year.
‘‘ACE Radio will be doing a live broadcast from the CBD, and we’ll also run a ‘shop here to win’ competition.
‘‘Purchases made at participating shops on the day enters you in the draw to win two 2022 Deni Ute Muster tickets.
‘‘Next week, leading up to the weekend, we’ll also be running a social media campaign which could see you win two tickets to the Play on the Plains — which begins after the Bazaar has ended.’’
