Lockdown lifts at Barrabill House

With the rapidly growing number of confirmed cases in the community, Seymour Health has asked resident family members to continue to be vigilant and not attend the facility if unwell or if they have potentially been exposed to COVID-19.

Visits at the residential aged care facility are encouraged to occur outside if possible, or in an individual’s room, rather than in shared areas. This further reduces the risk of a transmission.

As an added precaution, Seymour Health is offering Rapid Antigen Tests to all visitors attending Barrabill House prior to entering the facility.

If a positive test is returned, visitors will not be able to enter and will need to return home to isolate.

“We may be approaching our most challenging time during the pandemic as cases rise and we thank residents and their families for their understanding and patience,” Seymour Health director of clinical services Anne Daley said.
