Shepparton local Angela McLeod has taken on the position of executive director attraction and engagement, which oversees GOTAFE’s outreach programs and services, including the GOTAFE mobile campus.
Ms McLeod will also be responsible for ensuring current GOTAFE students are equipped with all the tools they need to successfully complete their training.
Ms McLeod rejoins GOTAFE from Goulburn Valley Water, where she held the role of customer experience projects co-ordinator and, prior to that, she led the Department of Rural Health at the Melbourne University.
In her previous stint working with GOTAFE, she held the role of education development manager, leading initiatives in education and training resource development, e-learning, the Training and Assessment Centre, Skills Recognition Centre and transitioned GOTAFE quality systems from state to national regulating authorities.
“I am thrilled to accept this position and re-join GOTAFE in this exciting and challenging role,” she said.
“I have more than 20 years' experience in the education sector and am passionate about making positive contributions to students and industries in regional Victoria.”
GOTAFE chief executive Travis Heeney said Ms McLeod’s diverse skill set and experience would be of great benefit to the institution.
“We’re delighted to have Angela rejoin the GOTAFE team,” he said.
“She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table.
“Angela has a diverse skill set in strategic planning, stakeholder relations, industry and community engagement and will bring a customer-centric focus to her new role at GOTAFE.”
