We usually struggle to adapt to a wet day, but we went into the game knowing what we had to do and we did it.
Everyone played their part. From the defence getting every turn over they could, mid bringing it down the court and goalies scoring strong.

With a wet day of slippin’ and slidin’, the Saints adjusted well to the wet conditions.

After a slow start getting use to the wet conditions, the girls adjusted their game play to the rain.
With strong accurate shooting from all around the ring from Tocumwal, we were unable to claw back from our slow start.
Big thank you to our junior players Mia and Amelia for stepping up and playing an awesome game in the mid court.

With Jess O’Dywer out and in wet wintery conditions, the Saints had a slow start to find their beat.
Miley’s yap in the centre lifted the girls and brought out Mia’s power throw in to Charlie and Erica in goals.
Elosie’s arms were just where they needed to be on the wing.
Abi and Gracie flew through the air with intercepts, and I can’t forget Lucy who has that get up and go about her.

Fine tuning our skills this week, the young Saints worked hard for four quarters.
With a strong midcourt, good defensive pressure and shooters moving to space, we were able to hold onto the win by one point.

Our mini superstars entered the court for the last time for 2022 with a guard of honour from their biggest fans – family and friends.
While the weather was not kind on the day, it gave the girls an opportunity to learn to adjust their game play with a wet ball.
Shooters were on point, and there were some great intercepts from defenders.
A fantastic last game.
