Hubs in Cobram, Seymour, Kyabram, Mansfield and Kilmore have closed.
The pandemic is still raging across the country despite coverage of daily cases and deaths falling away, with the country on track for its 10,000th death due to coronavirus
Victoria has been sitting at about 40,000 new coronavirus cases daily over the past fortnight, with about 25 deaths a day each day across the state.
There are about 450 active cases across the greater Shepparton LGA, with nearly 20,000 total cases across the pandemic.
Mitchell Shire region has recorded 350 new cases and nearly 15,000 across the course of the pandemic.
Campaspe Shire has just under 300 active cases and is approaching 10,000 total cases across the pandemic, while Strathbogie (50 and 2400), Benalla (50 and 3300), and Moira (130 and 7700) shires haven’t been hit as hard.
GV Health director of COVID-19 operations and interim chief allied health officer Sally Belcher said some members of the vaccination team had already returned to substantive roles at GV Health or within other roles across the community.
“As at June 30, an additional six team members will be returning to their substantive roles at GV Health,” she said.
Across the GV Health public health unit, which extends from Kilmore to Cobram, 1480 doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered to adults for the month of June, while just 79 paediatric vaccines were administered.
The sub-hubs also delivered 1135 doses of flu vaccines.
Ms Belcher said the Shepparton hub would remain open and provide vaccine outreach across the region.
“Jabba the Bus is still operating too,” she said.
“We are still able to respond to variable vaccine demand if required.
“If there are future changes in vaccine availability or policy, we will work closely with the Department of Health and the primary care sector to establish a response.”
