Local cafes and shops had a constant flow of customers, who after voting decided to go grab a coffee or do some shopping.
While some may see election day as a bit of a drag, it was lovely to see people out and about taking advantage of the beautiful day.
Election coverage and results are on page one of today’s edition.

Mexican night at Deni Rovers
Deniliquin Rovers Football Netball Club held a Mexican themed fiesta on Saturday night in the Rovers clubrooms.
There were crazy costumes, decorations, all you can eat tacos, nachos, burritos, guacamole and jalapeño poppers up for grabs, as well as some delicious drinks to wash it all down.
Everyone got dressed up, with varying levels of effort being put into the costumes, but there could only be a few winners.
Best costume winners were Natalie Sampson, Vicki Beames and Shannon Bulmer.
A special mention to best dressed couple John and Alex Glowrey and Nikita Doyle.
