Owner Jan Clark started the lessons in March this year and said it allowed children or beginners to learn horsemanship before going out and purchasing a horse or pony of their own.
"We do individual and group bookings and at Easter we want to do day camps for the kids, where they can learn how to own and look after a pony and have a practice first before they or their parents spend money on one."
While early on the lessons were affected by COVID-19 lockdowns, the fact it is an outdoor activity meant when restrictions eased, the lessons increased.
Mrs Clark said the aim of the rehoming program was to save as many retired racehorses as possible.
"There was a lot of horses getting put down so we decided to do some work to make them have a second career," she said.
"We start from the beginning and usually they will have 12 months off after the track to work on any issues after racing.
"Then we re-educate them into show jumping or show horses.
"Those that are injured we turn into pony club and trail riding horses and some are used for livestock work rounding up cattle and sheep on the farms."
Mrs Clark said three of her horses, which were previously racers, have been successful at many shows, including the Royal Adelaide and Royal Melbourne shows.
She also offers agistment for other people with "off the trackers".
If you are interested in learning to ride, you can call Kelltera Park Training and Agistment on 0431 027 217.
Those who do go for lessons will need to provide their own helmets and boots.
