Garnet Bailey prides himself on giving respect and compassion to those who have passed away.
And nothing changes that, not even a global pandemic.
Despite strict regulations on how he can operate, Garnet and the Bailey’s Funeral Services team are there for the community in their time of need.
“We have to be very diligent about how we operate. We have stepped up our hygiene practices and we use medical protective equipment when necessary,” Garnet said.
“There can only be 10 people (including staff) at a funeral, so it makes it a little tricky, but there is always a way to offer the funeral requested.
“All our staff are still with us and we implore the community to not be frightened and allow us to help them in their time of need.”
Bailey’s Funeral Services is offering private family funerals and cremations from $3000 (excluding cemetery fees), with a free memorial service at a later date.
Garnet said it was important to celebrate the life of a loved one and he would be around to help people do that, whatever the future held.
“It’s a very tough time for everyone, but we will work through it together,” he said.
“Seymour and district is a resilient community that will come out the other side of all this.”
