As the owners of the winning ticket in the Goulburn Options ‘grocery grab’ raffle, the Gregsons’ prize was everything they could fit into a shopping trolley within the time limit.
Ross said he and Denise scoped out the supermarket before their time began to give them an advantage.
“We had a look at where the things we needed were then treated it as a quick version of our usual shopping trip,” he said.
“The bonus at the end of this one was someone else picking up the tab.”
Goulburn Options chief executive Rosey Panelli said the purpose of the raffle was to raise funds for the centre in High St.
‘‘We ran the raffle for two months and sold $2350 worth of tickets, so it’s been very successful and all the Seymour and district community got behind it,” she said.
‘‘I’d really like to thank Sue and Peter O’Keefe and IGA’s support of the raffle — they’ve always been good and loyal supporters of Goulburn Options.
‘‘We should also thank the volunteers who spent hours in the streets selling the tickets. It was a lot of fun and Ross and Denise had a really good attitude towards it.’’
Ross ended up grabbing about $265 worth of groceries paid for by Goulburn Options, with O’Keefe’s IGA also making a donation.
