The train will also have a special guest on board: Santa.
The big man in red will be catching up with all the children throughout the day. As a special gift, all kids under eight will receive a free show bag from Santa.
The heritage train will be hauled by vintage locomotives, and passengers will travel in comfortable 100-year-old wooden-bodied E class carriages together with former Spirit of Progress S class steel passenger carriages.
The train will also include the Yarra Carriage, which was built in 1906.
Bendigo has a rich and prosperous heritage dating back to the days when gold was discovered in the area in the 1850s. It is home to the mid-1900s Central Deborah Gold Mine.
