Youth advice sought

Schools represented include St Mary’s College Seymour, Seymour Flexible Learning Centre, Broadford Secondary College, Assumption College Kilmore and the GOTAFE VCAL program. 

Students will take part in a one-week structured workplace learning program to advise council about what young people want as part of a youth space at the park. 

The program, delivered by Central Ranges Local Learning and Employment Network facilitator Sarah Irving, will take students through a design development process.

It will include activities such as visiting other youth parks, interviewing fellow students, conducting and collating research, sketching, model making and describing designs. Students will also consult Mitchell Youth Council.

The program started on August 19 and will conclude at GOTAFE Seymour on August 23.
