The Tigers’ skipper joined Rochy in 2015 and took over the helm as coach at the end of 2019.
And with a number of Rochy’s important players out injured this season, he has played a key role on the field at Tigerland.
Stroobants is Rochester’s second leading goalscorer in 2022, with 21 majors so far this season.
He has five games with three or more goals this season, and he has only been held goalless on two occasions.
His best game of the season came back in round two when he booted five goals in a best-on-ground performance against Kyabram.
The top Tiger is averaging 11 touches, four marks and two goals per game in 2022.
With the ball in his hands, Stroobants has been a sure thing this season.
He has just four clangers through 10 games this season, tied for the fewest among Rochester players who have appeared in six or more games in 2022.
The hard-nosed forward is one of the top players in the league, something that was confirmed with his selection in the GVL representative side earlier this season.
He was the lone Rochester player named in the side that took on Ovens & Murray in May, kicking two goals in the GVL’s 55-point loss.
