On Friday night, the AFL North East Border had their awards night to recognise and celebrate the successes of clubs and people during the season.
Amongst a very worthy field of finalists from all the clubs and leagues affiliated with the AFL North East Border, Nadine Nicholson from the Murray Felines was selected as the Volunteer of the Year.
The citation on the night read:
Nadine is the team manager for the Youth Girls Murray Felines team in the AFL North East Border Female Football League. She works hard behind the scenes to make sure the Felines are ready to go week in week out, undertaking all the usual team manager duties.
Nadine over the past two years has also kindly volunteered her time to assist with the Girls V Line Cup program as Team Manager. Nadine has always been willing to assist and help out where possible, and regularly going beyond the call of duty to make sure that training nights or game days go smoothly. Nadine is without doubt a deserving winner of the Volunteer of the Year award for 2019.
Congratulations to Nadine for her very well deserved award and recognition.
