Good roll-up for Ambrose event

By Tatura Guardian

The women headed to Hill Top early on Wednesday to try and beat the predicted high temperatures. Lightning and thunder put paid to that at 7:15 when the first few groups were called back to the clubhouse. Next there was 10 millimetres of rain in 10 minutes and the greens were underwater, the power went off, so it was everyone into the clubhouse until 9am.

We finally headed out to play for the three person Ambrose event with the best field of players for months. Thank you to the sponsors Liz Mulcahy, Phyl Fiddes and Heather Long.

Janette Hayward, Wilma Saunders and Roylyn Harris combined well to finish with a score of 66.6 Not far behind was Collen Johns, Josie De Ieso and Sue Turnbull with 68.3
