Raising awareness and much-needed funds for the Southern Autistic School, the event was held over two days with 30 scoring shots each day at distances of 500 and 600 yards and a grand aggregate for both days.
Great conditions saw high scores and tight competition across the board of 56 shooters.
Day one saw Craig Weaire claim first place in the F-Standard A grade with a score of 180.22 out of a possible 180.30 and Alan Fuge took out third place with a score of 180.21.
A special junior award was won by Cowan Fuge-Harper with a score of 178.13. Josh Weaire also took out a range prize.
Day two saw another local shooter, Kevin Epps, take out a range prize in F-Standard B grade, missing out on a place in the grand aggregate by one point.
Josh Weaire took out second place in the daily aggregate and first in the grand aggregate, with the weekend high score of 360.46 out of a possible 360.60. Joe Melbourne and Craig Weaire also competed well, finishing just outside the placings.
‘‘It was a great day of shooting and great results for our club,’’ Craig said.
‘‘It was also good to get out, do something for the community. It’s a worthy cause and we’re glad we can do something to help.’’
