Most last around 20 to 30 years, depending on whether they’re used inside or outside.
And so, if chosen wisely, they’re going to be there for a very long time.
Mayfair Drapes have been operating in the Seymour area for around 12 years and come with a wealth of experience.
They service homes as far as Alexandra and Murrindindi, as well as Seymour, Broadford, Kilmore and Nagambie.
Owner Bruce Story said, ‘‘We just try to do good old-fashioned service.’’
‘‘Often when people are renovating they’ll do one room at a time, so we can do that and be back in six months to do another room.’’
‘‘And that doesn’t matter whether they’re in Alexandra or in town (in Seymour), we’re happy to go to Alex for one blind.’’
Mayfair Drapes do all of their own sewing and produce all of their drapes, sheers and curtains in their showroom on Emily St.
All of their blinds are Australian-made and come from local suppliers.
‘‘Often there is no one perfect covering,’’ Mr Story said.
‘‘We’ll spend as much time as needed talking about the positives and negatives of different fabrics and products so that people can make the best decision.’’
‘‘We deal with everybody, whether they’re a young couple moving into their first home, renovators, or people who’ve been living in the same house for a long time and their blinds are due for an update.’’
Mayfair Drapes are able to install or service all curtains, blinds, sun drops and even verandah blinds.
They carry all of their blind samples with them and are happy to drive out on site to provide a free, no-obligation, measure and quote.
Their selection of drapes is so big it won’t fit in just one van so pop into their showroom at 22 Emily St, Seymour to see the full range or phone 57992801.
