This week saw another solid performance from all Rovers A-grade players, coming away with a strong win against Berrigan.
The versatility of this team was showcased with most players competing in at least two positions throughout the game, with no loss of momentum.
Chrissy Hurst continues her stellar season, combining seamlessly with all other defenders. Her ability to read the play and create turnovers is second to none.
Abbey Wills goes from strength to strength, regardless of whether she is defending or shooting goals.
Hazel Glowrey notched up some valuable midcourt time, cutting and driving with confidence beyond her years.
Next week’s meeting with Mathoura promises to be a tough encounter and will give a good indication of where this team sits at the top of the competition.

B-grade: Deni Rovers 43 def Berrigan 20.
Taking the last opportunity to test the depth and flexibility of the playing group, Rovers started off strong before having a bit of a lapse in momentum.
Some deviance from the game plan meant more confusion and stray balls than preferred.
However, the determination from the girls on the court, and support from the sideline, kept the score ticking over.
A huge thank you to the junior girls who made the effort to train and support the team this week.

C-grade: Deni Rovers 50 def Berrigan 44.
Under a grey sky, teamwork was on display as the C-grade team were out for another win.
Goal-for-goal was how the first half was played, as both teams fought for every intercept looking to find their rhythm and take control.
Accurate shooting from Nicole Felmingham and Georgia Dudley kept Berrigan on their toes.
Strong passes from Matilda Glowrey and Jemmah Conallin helped settled the Rovers in a tight game, with only a goal difference at half-time.
Both teams had great passages of play and worked hard to keep the pressure on in the second half.
With scores even in the last quarter, every turnover was celebrated from the sidelines.
Carissa Holmberg fought for every ball and the whole team contributed everything they had to enjoy the hard earned win.
Best on court went to Catie Lewis for her determination and fight which lifted the whole team.

C-reserve: Deni Rovers 59 def Berrigan 11.
The team looked strong, confident and relaxed after last week’s bye.
It was a solid start with five quick goals before Berrigan were on the scoreboard.
Great teamwork was seen from Ellie Fishlock and Kelly Thorpe in defence as they worked together, keeping the ball out of the opponent’s goal circle.
Nikita Doyle moved end to end finding space, creating options and steadying the play.
Kaila Park and Mollie Leetham were a strong combination in the goal circle.
Park stuck close to the ring and Leetham inside the circle, both shooting with accuracy and making every opportunity count.
The midcourt was well supported for four quarters by Tiarna Murdock who worked tirelessly to intercept and create turn overs.
The girls showed their ability to reset quickly on the turnover in the second half which proved too much for Berrigan as Rovers took home a win.
Best on court went to Kaila Park for her really strong holds in the goal circle.

Under-17s: Deni Rovers 29 def by Berrigan 30.
It was a tough game, although the girls managed to play to their strengths intercepting many balls.
The shooters really had their heads in the game working beautifully as did the midcourt feeding the ball into the circle.
Unfortunately, it was in the last few minutes of the game that Rovers took a loss by one goal.
Overall the girls played well.

Under-15s: Deni Rovers 35 def Berrigan 22.
The game started off slowly with both teams struggling to find any sort of rhythm.
The Rovers managed to pick up the pace and score some crucial goals.
The Rovers defence was particularly impressive, with some great intercepts and rebounds.
In the end the girls managed to pull off another good win.

Under-13s: Deni Rovers 34 def Berrigan 10.
Rovers showed their versatility throughout the match with Lilly Boyer, Georgia Danckert and Zoe Basset combining well in goals.
Eva Maher, Amelie Bulmer and Nina Glowrey ran a smooth midcourt.
The defence of Ava Braybon, Lara Horne and Stella Andrews was outstanding.
It is great to see the girls growth in confidence and flexibility.

Olivia Armytage displayed skills at both ends of the court.
Kelsey Clark, Amy Doherty and Zoe Harvey kept a smooth midcourt and Ella Clark shot well.
Alyssa Hawley, Macie Ezard and Lily O’Donnell created turnovers.

What an amazing game - the best of the season so far.
They are really starting to settle into playing with each other and their game flow is really showing.
Footwork and defending from the correct distance have been the training focus for the past few weeks, and it is great to see the girls putting this into action during the game.
Isabelle Didcock was on fire in the goal ring with accuracy, and Meg Meharry played a pivotal part in feeding the ball to the shooters.
Madi Danckert played a fantastic game, always being a voice on the court and coming forward for the ball.
