Nathalia: What the club said

By Riverine Herald

NATHALIA Football Netball Club president Dean Limbrick has released a statement on the incident which left Echuca United’s Nick Kellow with a broken jaw.

Limbrick said “an incident has taken place between Nick and our player. The other players from our football team have spoken to me, as has the player in question, as we conduct our own investigation to the circumstances around the incident.

‘‘Unfortunately there is injury to Nick as a result.

“There was no malice in our player’s behaviour, he had no intention to cause such injury. It wasn’t a haymaker as was suggested.

“As the Nathalia Football Club we wish to send our absolute best to Nick, we hope to see him recover well from this and get back on the football field as soon as he can.”
