Dance is now an afternoon affair

By Benalla Ensign

Mother’s Day marked a new beginning for the Lima South old-time dance group.

The group has changed its monthly event from an evening soiree to an afternoon dance which will now take place from 1pm until 5pm on the second Sunday of each month.

The theme of the next afternoon event is ‘Tripping the light fantastic’ and aims to see dancers dressed up in their finery.

Attendees are asked to bring a plate which lends itself to a delicious afternoon tea.

Raffle and door prizes will add to the fun.

The Mother’s Day Dance on May 12 was a successful occasion with 32 dancers taking the floor.

If you would like a delightful afternoon, put June 9 on your calendar for the next Lima South old-time dance.
