Mitchell Ambulance Auxiliary seeks local volunteers

The Mitchell Ambulance Auxiliary needs help from residents.

The group is a dedicated volunteer committee that supports Mitchell Shire paramedics, but it can’t operate without the support of volunteers.

The committee plays a crucial role in providing support for the ambulance service by raising funds to enhance the equipment over and above the facilities provided through the ambulance service's budget.

“Auxiliaries are generally well known in the community for conducting a diverse range of fundraising activities,” auxiliary president Tom Thomson said.

“The ambulance auxiliary in Mitchell Shire is endeavouring to emulate other successful auxiliaries. However, to do that we need active members to help share the load.

“If you have an hour a month for meetings, time to assist at barbecues and other fundraising events during the year and you would like to meet with other like-minded people in our community, we would love to hear from you.”

If you are interested in volunteering or would like more information, phone Tom Thomson on 0427 755 446.
