Cole's appointment, along with the final team, was announced following the squad’s final training at Deakin Reserve on Wednesday night.
Seymour midfielder Zac Keogh has also been named in the final 22, despite being absent from the initial squad of 36 and will join Cole in the engine room. The duo has made a formidable team in the past month of matches for the Lions.
Seymour young gun Dylan Cook has also been selected on the half back flank in the final squad of the Under 18.5 team to play earlier in the day.
