Summer specialist Lindsay Hall was the monthly medal winner at Nagambie on Sunday.
The run-loving Hall produced possibly his best score ever around the Nagambie layout with a 76 (-9, 67) to win the day by a three-stroke margin.
Hall was heard saying if the course stays firm and dry he could win every week.
Runner-up went to regular visitor Greg Baldwin with tidy 86 (-15, 71) ahead of Joe Labas on count back with 92 (-21, 71).
Nearest-the-pins went to Larry King; clobbering one up to the 13th was Jeff Mills and David Love with a majestic strike on the 16th.
This week’s golf will be a par event with B. Cryer on office duty and P. Neville in the bar.

Nine-hole balls went to Jo and Jenny both with +3.
The coming week’s play will be a four-ball aggregate stableford event.
The chicken run results from the previous week saw 25 players in a par competition on the front nine. Winner was Harold Rayner with +5.
This week will be a stableford event to be played on the back nine. Nearest-the-pin will be on the 16th hole, white markers. Please use photocopied cards for chicken run.
Seymour
It was back to hotter weather this week as summer made a last ditch effort for the season, however it did not seem to affect golfers.
In the women’s Wednesday competition Ricky Rickman (12) was the winner with a score of 34 points.
The extra competition was the even holes and Pam Jarvis won this with 18 points.
The ball pool went to Ricky Rickman, Dale Stuart and Pam Jarvis with 31 points on a count back.
Greg Pell was just ahead of the pack with his win on Wednesday with the top score of 37 points.
The runner-up was Bill Stevens with 36 after a four way count back with Jerry Bender, Kevin Mulvaney and Rob Oldman.
Nearest-the-pins went to Rob Oldman on the fourth and sixth, Gary Neville on the 12th and Greg Pell on the 17th. A score of 33 points was needed to get into ball pool.
Phil Block had a nice score of 19 points to win the mixed nine holes. Stubby Byrne was the runner-up with 18 points and Dawn Leece and Liz Gee also made it into the ball pool.
It was a smaller group on Friday night for the social nine holes due to the warm conditions. The game was stroke on holes 10-18 and Gary Neville had the best net score with 34.5.
Saturday was the monthly medal for both men and women. There were some terrific scores in the men’s competition and therefore a great score was required to win the monthly medal.
Rob Oldman was up to the task and had a fine 81 (-15, 66) to win the medal and also B-grade.
The A-grade winner with the next best score of the day was Peter Sawyer with 75 (-8, 67). Graham Welsh was the C-grade winner with a good score of 93 (-22, 71).
John Callaghan was the nearest-the-pin on the fourth, Luke Meredith was closest on the sixth, Paul Niebling won the 12th and Graham Welsh was nearest on the 17th.
The drive and pitch on the eighth was won by Craig Zotti and the 15th went to John Boruch. A score of net 73 was needed for a ball.
The winner of the women’s monthly medal was Di Stammers with a steady score of 91 (-19, 72).
There was unusually no one on the 17th to claim nearest-the-pin so it stayed with the club.
The ball pool went to Di Stammers, Shirley Wright and Dale Stuart with net 75.
Friday evening’s social nine holes will be par on holes 16-6. Saturday the competition for the men and women will be stableford and it is a combined club event.
Tee-off times for Saturday have gone back to normal with the end of the really hot weather.
Finally, the club is holding the Run the Course on Monday, March 11 where you can run or walk 18 holes (7.5km) or nine holes (3.5km).
If you wish to participate the website is www.runthecourse.com.au to get more information and to register.
