During the past two terms at Avenel Primary School students in Years 3 to 6 have been participating in the Create IT program.
The program provided students with exposure to science and technology skills, the performing arts, visual arts and cooking skills.
Principal Neil O’Sullivan said the program had been an enormous success, with students producing some outstanding work.
‘‘Another great aspect of the program is the collaboration skills it builds amongst our students as all of the learning tasks are group-based project work,’’ he said.
‘‘One of the things that I like about the program is that students get to drive their own learning.’’
Student Johnny said he enjoyed designing and planning different activities, and Ebony said she loved the choice of learning the program gave her.
The program will run for the remainder of 2019.
