Ride to school

By Seymour Telegraph

There was certainly a great buzz around Avenel Primary School at the end of term as more than 90 bicycles made their way to school as part of the Ride to School morning.

For the past seven years, Avenel Primary School has used the National Ride to School Day as an opportunity to celebrate the fabulous cycling opportunities that abound in our community.

By forming a riding school bus, they were able to pick students up from their doorsteps and ride in convoy to school.

This event has gotten bigger each year and the three ceremonial laps of the oval with close to 70 riders was a sight to see.

A big thanks to all of the parents who took part in the ride and the school looks forward to another wonderful Ride to School event in 2020 and to further embedding a unique part of Avenel Primary School culture.
