The clinic was originally started by Dr R. Robert who was followed by Dr A. Spano then Dr L. Crocombe.
In 1991, Dr Paul Lejins bought the practice and has been running it ever since with his wife Glenys who is the practice manager.
Dr Lejins is now the longest serving dentist in Seymour, having worked in his clinic for more than 25 years.
The practice is a real family affair with the couple’s sons regularly coming into help at the clinic during university holidays.
But this isn’t the only family connection.
Two dentists, Dr Ilija Trajcevski and Dr Menka Trajcevska are mother and son.
Sisters Veronica and Melissa also work at the clinic as nursing staff.
The clinic was the first in Australia to receive accreditation from the Australian Dental Association and Quality in Practice in 2013.
The accreditation means that patients in the clinic can rest assured they are receiving the highest standard of dental care.
The clinic has two visiting specialists; Dr Robert McGlade and Graeme Wright.
Dr McGlade is a orthodontist and has been visiting the clinic once a fortnight since 1991.
Mr Wright is a Oral Maxio facial surgeon and visits the clinic once a month.
Having these two specialists visit the clinic means that locals don’t have to travel to Melbourne for specialist dental care.
The clinic offers the usual services expected of a dental clinic such as scale and cleans, restorative dentistry, cosmic dentistry, tooth whitening procedures and teeth removal.
It also provides mouth guards, night splints and new partial or full dentures, relines and repairs.
