Ellis, Wearne mix it up for Farleys victory

GERARD Ellis and Chelsea Wearne won Farleys mixed competition at Heathcote Golf Club with a gross score of 81.

Carol Stuart and John Dunn won the nett competition with 73. Nearest the pin winners were John Dunn and Alan Jeynes with John taking out the Super Pin.

Saturday’s men’s competition winner was Kent Davies with 39 points off a handicap of 5.

It was good to see the club house really alive during the Elvis and Johnny Cash night on Friday. Thank you to all who attended and helped to make the night such a success.

■ ON WEDENSDAY, the Heathcote ladies played a stableford competition which was won by June Roberts with 35 points off a handicap of 37. Jan Case won the 2nd shot nearest the pin on the 18th hole.

In the singles knockout Carol Stuart defeated Cathy Shaddock 4-3 to take out the singles knockout trophy. Well done Carol.

■ THE ladies pennant team again won all their matches and are now leading their division by 2.5 points.

Match results were: Dot Trott won 6-4, Helen Carlin won 1 up, and Rosie Hill won 2 up.

■ THURSDAY’S aggregate pairs competition was won by Shane Morris and Son Quach with a combined score of 74 ahead of C. Pierce and D. Pianta with their combined score of 71.

Balls went to: C. Pierce, D. Pianta, B. Morgan and B. Pianta. B. Morgan won nearest the pin on the 13th and J. Mugavin scored a birdie on the 8th hole.
