Most last about 20 to 30 years, depending on whether they’re used inside or outside, and so if chosen wisely they’re going to be there for a long time.
Mayfair Drapes has been operating in the Seymour area for about 12 years and offers a wealth of experience.
Mayfair Drapes services homes as far away as Alexandra and Murrindindi, as well as Seymour, Broadford, Kilmore and Nagambie.
‘‘We just try to do good old-fashioned service,’’ owner Bruce Story said.
‘‘Often when people are renovating they’ll do one room at a time, so we can do that and be back in six months to do another room.
‘‘And that doesn’t matter whether they’re in Alexandra or in town [in Seymour], we’re happy to go to Alex for one blind.’’
Mayfair Drapes does all of its own sewing and produces all of it drapes, sheers and curtains at the showroom on Emily St.
All of its blinds are Australian made and come from local suppliers.
‘‘Often there is no one perfect covering,’’ Mr Story said.
‘‘We’ll spend as much time as needed talking about the positives and negatives of different fabrics and products so that people can make the best decision.
‘‘We deal with everybody, whether they’re a young couple moving into their first home, renovators, or people who’ve been living in the same house for a long time and their blinds are due for an update.’’
Mayfair Drapes is able to install or service all curtains, blinds, sun-drops and even verandah blinds.
Staff carry all of their blind samples with them and are happy to drive out to provide a free, no-obligation measure and quote on-site.
The selection of drapes is so big it won’t fit in just one van — so pop into the showroom at 22 Emily St, Seymour to see the full range or phone 57992801.
