Ten members of the Nagambie Take Off Weight Naturally club attended the State TOWN awards dinner on June 2 at Melrose Receptions in Tullamarine.

Nagambie members strive to lose weight on a regular basis and each week at their meetings they encourage fellow members to stay determined, focus on their goal and support one another with personal, experience, dietary and exercise advice.

Two of the Nagambie members, Ed Dunn and Yvonne McCabe, attained their goal weight after many months of hard work.

Mr Dunn was awarded King for 2017/18, while Ms McCabe was Nagambie’s first graduate, meaning she achieved her goal weight and maintained it for six weeks.

Nagambie TOWN club president Yvonne Dacey said she was excited to receive the Jenni Cousins Memorial Cup as the club with the highest weight loss for the year, finishing with 147.8kg.

Ms Dacey’s club also received the Pat Medley Divisional Memorial Award — presented to the club which had the greatest improvement from the previous year.

‘‘The Nagambie Weight Club has been operating for more than a year and the club is open to all comers who need or want to lose weight with the support of fellow minded people in a sensible weight loss program,’’ she said.

‘‘They are invited to go along to the conference room at the rear of the Nagambie Medical centre, 3pm to 4.30pm on a Wednesday during the winter months.’’

For more information phone Yvonne Dacey on 0412025845.
