Flood recovery works have recently begun at a number of locations across Strathbogie Shire.
Strathbogie Shire Council’scommunity assets director Roy Hetherington said it was great to be able to start works packages to restore the shire’s damaged infrastructure.
‘‘Now that works are under way, Council is able to communicate more information about the planned timing of works,’’ Mr Hetherington said.
Works are planned to begin on the following identified roads in the time frames provided:
■Horse Gully Rd (currently under way);
■Siems Road (currently under way);
■Broughans Rd (six weeks);
■Burnside Rd (six weeks);
■Seebers Rd (four weeks);
■Sugarloaf Rd (two weeks);
■Mt Wombat Rd (two weeks);
■Old Euroa Rd (four weeks);
■Geodetic Rd (four weeks);
■Heals Rd (two weeks);
■Walker Rd (two weeks);
■Wood Rd (four weeks);
■Osheas Rd (four weeks); and
■McBurneys Rd (six weeks).
However, Mr Hetherington said the timing of works may change subject to weather conditions.
‘‘We are developing a program which our contractors will deliver over the coming months and we will continue to keep the community informed on commencement and completion of works on roads as we progress through the program.’’
