Mitchell Shire residents are being asked to provide feedback on a number of council projects.
Council has recently been looking for feedback on its proposed 2018-19 budget and draft domestic animal management plan, as well as calling for people to nominate for the DAM plan consultative committee.
Responses close at 5pm today.
The MyMitchell photo competition is in full swing and open until 5pm on Friday, June 8.
Applications are now open for the next term of the Mitchell Youth Council.
The advisory committee is open to those aged 12 to 24 who are passionate about young people and the issues they are facing and who want to make a real positive impact on our community.
Mitchell Shire Mayor Rhonda Sanderson said community input was a key stage of any council project.
‘‘Listening and acting upon feedback from our community is such an important part of what we do at council,’’ Cr Sanderson said.
‘‘At the end of the day, we are here to serve our community and our residents are the ones who know best what their needs are and that’s why we value their input so highly.
‘‘We’ve got a number of important feedback opportunities available the moment, including the proposed council budget which effects our entire community, as well as some fun projects to get involved with such as the MyMitchell Photo Competition.
‘‘We really love it when our community gets involved in what council is doing and I would strongly encourage our residents to head to our Engaging Mitchell website and make their voices heard,’’ she said.
