A & P Electrics at your service

While his father was a truck driver, Euroa resident Paul Hamill comes from a long line of tradespeople.

‘‘My only sister married an electrician, so I did my trade with him, that’s where it all started,’’ Mr Hamill said.

Working on anything from changing a power point to major upgrades and new installations, Mr Hamill covers Euroa, Strathbogie and Seymour.

Mr Hamill’s focus has shifted slightly since moving home from Perth.

‘‘Here’s a lot more domestic than anything,’’ he said.

‘‘We were more commercial and industrial in Perth — we were tendering to a lot more of the food and beverage area, but we don’t really have that over here.

‘‘There’s commercial shops and stuff here, but a lot of the shopfronts don’t change too dramatically much here, it’s (just) little changes here and there.

‘‘So you do a few jobs in that way, but there are no major constructions like we were doing back in Perth.’’

Mr Hamill runs his own business and, while the hours are flexible, they are also demanding, which can be hard sometimes to balance with his young family.

‘‘Sometimes you start at six and get home at six,’’ he said.

‘‘It just changes from day to day.’’
