Mother’s Day — why not really spoil her?

On May 13 people across Seymour will get the chance to make it a special day for their mothers (and grandmothers and even great grandmothers) to thank them for all the work they do.

Mother’s Day — the second Sunday every May — is a serious event on everyone’s calendar.

Making sure your mum has a seriously good time is a small way of saying thanks for the other 360-plus days where she looks after you.

It is a day celebrated in more than 40 countries around the globe as well as here in downtown Seymour.

And Mother’s Day in Seymour is not just an opportunity to make your mum’s day; it is your chance to help the local economy — by shopping locally.

If you keep your money in town you will be helping keep local people employed and building on the services and facilities we have now and in the future.

Besides, you would be hard put not to find what you are looking for in the shops in our town.

For example, you might want to duck into Burton’s Store for that something individual for your mum to wear.

With the range of fashions on show there is something for every style and occasion.

Or slip into Betta Home Living and find that little something your mum has always wanted.

No, not a washing machine or a vacuum cleaner — spoil her with her own coffee machine or perhaps a new phone, or wearable technology.

Or give her a gift card and let her choose.

A little bit of planning is all it takes to make Mother’s Day memorable for the mum in your life.
