Charity shoot raises $4000 for hospital

Last weekend saw Seymour Field and Game hold their first charity shoot at their grounds in Lambing Gully Rd, Avenel.

This day was designed to raise money for Seymour Hospital and some urgently needed equipment. The aim was to raise $4000 and by the end of the day, we were close.

Nearly 150 shooters turned up for a 100 target event, and with half of all nominations going to the final tally, a raffle and some generous donations, in a few weeks time we will find out the result.

A big thanks to generous sponsors, Rodwells Stock and Station agents from Shepparton, Hall’s Jewellers Seymour for raffle prizes, GB Corsivia, Bungle Boori (which donated the door prize), Coffee On The Go and Body Shop at Home.

The Overall Handicap winner was Dean Free , who, with his added handicap, scored 105 out of 100.

A big thanks to all volunteers who helped the day run so smoothly; we are looking forward to next year.

The next shoot will be a 75-target sim grd hcp and SXS competition on Saturday, May 5 in Avenel: 10.30am start, all welcome.
