Station St fire

Mitchell detectives are seeking information regarding a recent suspicious fire in Station St, Seymour. Emergency services were called to the gift and accessories shop about 2.30am on Tuesday, March 27.

The alarm was sounded by the resident living at the rear of the shop.

Numerous CFA units were in attendance with the shop, next door hairdressers and the rear residence being completely destroyed. No-one was injured in the fire. Anyone with information can phone Crime Stoppers on 1800333000 or Detective Senior Constable Gavin Williams on 57350216.

Broadford theft

A dual-axle box trailer was stolen from a Cameron Parade, Broadford property around 4am on Friday, March 23.

The thieves climbed over the boundary fence, then cut a hole in the cyclone fence separating this yard from next door.

A hole was then cut in the front fence of this property and the trailer was pushed out onto Mia Mia Rd, where a vehicle was waiting to tow the trailer away.

It is believed this incident may be related to an earlier burglary at a Tooborac school, as property, believed to have been stolen from there was found at the scene.
